Richard Deacon has developed an outstanding body of sculptural work.
His abstract language of shapes is unique and continuously surprising as well.
Moving from one material to another he makes us interact with his sculptures like poets resting on stones. In the last 15 years he has worked intensively with ceramics - a material that contains performative and architectural dimensions, a resource for the shapes of things to come and things that have been, assemblages to be carried, looked at and lived in.
